The BBC reports that NEC is ready to unveil a real-time translation device that “At the same time as a user hears a translation, they would also get text subtitles beamed onto the retina.” I wonder how long we’re going to have to wait for a Star Trek style Universal Translator. Twenty more years perhaps? I can’t wait, even as useful as it is to speak more than one language, I hate studying them! Read more about it on the BBC
